Michelle Obama and Daughters Wow DNC Crowd

Michelle Obama and her young daughters were, along with a rousing Ted Kennedy appearance, the talk of the Democratic National Convention Monday night.

After delivering the evening's keynote speech, Michelle introduced Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, to the crowd, as the warm sounds of Stevie Wonder's hit "Isn't She Lovely" filled the Denver venue, says the New York Post.

And sure enough, they were soon joined by Barack, speaking live from Kansas City, says the paper.

"How about Michelle Obama?" the presidential hopeful asked the crowd. "Now you know why I asked her out so many times, even though she said no. You want a persistent president."

And Sasha was over the moon to hear from her father, says the Post.

"Hi, Daddy!" she exclaimed, asking what city he was in. And when Barack wondered how Sasha felt her mom fared as keynote speaker, the little girl said: "I think she did good."

"I think she did, too," Barack replied.
