The very good host Ryan Seacrest.Days after Jennifer Hudson's family tragedy -- in which the actress lost her mother, brother and seven-year-old nephew -- "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest is reaching out to support his old friend.
"We're praying for her," Seacrest told People magazine. "I sent her an email to share my sorrow for what she went through and asked her if there was anything we could do."
Seacrest also addresses the tragedy itself, saying simply, "It's horrible."
Seacrest has watched Hudson grow from her early career as a barely known "American Idol" finalist to a history-making Oscar-winner. He tells the mag that he knows Hudson will pull through this trying time. "I know Jennifer and I always liked her spirit, her strength, her charm, her charisma. She's a strong and a special girl."
Seacrest also says that he isn't the only member of the "Idol" family whose thoughts are with Hudson. " I talked to Randy [Jackson] the other day about it," Seacrest says. "We're just thinking about her."I love his hosting talent.Keep it up Ryan!
