The Associated Press says "SNL" saw its highest ratings in 14 years when Palin playfully confronted her impersonator, Fey, live from New York two weeks ago.

Telephone Prank Snags Sarah Palin

The hot and the glamorous Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin took a prank telephone call from someone posing as the president of France on Saturday, discussing several topics without recognizing the caller was an imposter, the Associated Press reports. Click to see who the prankster was!

During the call from a Canadian comedian posing as French President Nicolas Sarkozy, the prankster tells Palin she would make a good president someday. "Maybe in eight years," replies Palin, with a laugh.

The six-minute conversation includes Palin discussing politics, the perils of hunting with Vice President Dick Cheney, and Sarkozy's "beautiful wife." The call is set to air Monday on a Quebec radio station, the AP said.

A Palin campaign spokeswoman confirmed the prank call was received. "Governor Palin was mildly amused to learn that she had joined the ranks of heads of state, including President Sarkozy and other celebrities, in being targeted by these pranksters. C'est la vie," she said.

The call was made by the well-known Montreal comedy duo Marc-Antoine Audette and Sebastien Trudel, who are notorious for making prank calls to celebrities and heads of state. Audette speaks in an exaggerated French accent during the call and drops ample hints that the conversation is a joke.

Playing off the governor's much-publicized comment in an early television interview that she had insights into foreign policy because "you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska," the caller tells her: "You know we have a lot in common also, because ... from my house I can see Belgium." She replies: "Well, see, we're right next door to different countries that we all need to be working with, yes." Good luck Madam..

John McCain Does 'SNL': Will Laughs Get Him Votes?

Presidential Republican candidate John McCain, Just days before Election Day, appeared on "Saturday Night Live" to poke fun at himself while Tina Fey once again provided big laughs portraying VP candidate Sarah Palin.

In a skit mocking the shopping channel QVC, McCain stood side-by-side with Fey and urged viewers to remember the campaign by purchasing a special line of "collectible products."

Fey's Palin hawks a group of "Joe" action figures that include prominent figures from the campaign: Joe the Plumber, Joe Six Pack and "my personal favorite," she says, "Joe Biden." "If you pull this cord, he talks for 45 minutes." "It's great if you want to clear out a party," McCain quips. "Or keep elk out of your yard," Fey adds.

Products for sale included a complete set of "pork knives – they cut the pork out," McCain declared. McCain's wife Cindy helped show off another item for sale, McCain fine-gold jewelry, a reference to the McCain-Feingold bipartisan campaign reform act of 2002.

At one point during the segment, Fey turns away where McCain can't hear her and whispers to the audience that she is going "rogue." She displays a "Palin in 2012" T shirt and tells the audience: "Just try and wait till after Tuesday to wear 'em."

Later during the show's Weekend Update segment, McCain offers some last-minute campaign strategies. He said he might become a "reverse maverick," someone he says does everything he's told; or a "double maverick," where "I'd go totally berserk and freak everybody out, even the regular mavericks."

"I'm a true Maverick: a Republican without money!" McCain joked. "My only showbiz connections are Jon Voight and Heidi (Montag) from "The Hills.'" Good Luck Sir..

Never fade Tom Cruise buried the hatchet with Matt Lauer -- ET confirms that the actor good naturedly participated in a roast of the newsman at the Friars Club today in New York!

Cruise took the stage and hugged Lauer, and told the audience that he would do anything for his "good friend Matt." He then said he is the one person in the world who knows where Matt Lauer is (referring to the "Today" show "Where in the World is Matt Lauer" segments) and showed a slideshow with his and Lauer's heads superimposed on bodies in photos depicting activities like skiing and hiking.

He ended his speech by saying, "Lose my number you glib putz! Cruise out!"

'Survivor' Scoop: Two-for-One Eliminations

The phenomenal "Survivor: Gabon" had a couple of curveballs up its sleeve Thursday night, as not one, but two, players were eliminated -- and both players were strong physical challengers.

The show opened at the Fang camp with Crystal accidentally spilling a bit of rice, then magnanimously volunteering to go without at mealtime since the tribe was running so low.

When it came time for the reward challenge, the teams had to play a game that involved passing a ball between three players, while one player from the opposing team played defense. As usual, Kota made quick work of Fang, winning 3-1. As part of their reward, they opted to send Sugar back to Exile for a record fifth time in a row.

At Exile, the pin-up model told the camera of her alliance with Ace: "I feel like my tribe thinks I'm naïve and I'm sticking with him out of stupidity -- but I'm sticking with him because he's the strongest player at this point."

For the reward, the Kota team was taken on a helicopter ride over the African landscape, and treated to a cliffside picnic. Bob exclaimed over the experience, "It made my trip to Africa." As they dined, Randy said with his customary spite for the Fang tribe, "The best part about this is that they don't get it." Later, the team was treated to much-sought letters from their loved ones, which brought tears to the recipients.

Back at Fang camp, Matty exclaimed over his team's latest loss, "I don't think in my entire 29 years of living I've ever been so embarrassed."

Matty invited Ace for a private chat in the canoe, and urged Ace to get rid of Sugar. Ace, however, had his eye on voting off Crystal, and he swayed Matty to his way of thinking. Meanwhile, Kenny and Crystal were formulating their own plan -- to blindside Ace! Crystal told the camera, "He's the devil and he has to go."

Up next was the immunity challenge, and it came with a twist -- both teams would be voting someone off that night at Tribal Council, and the players would be vying for individual immunity. The players faced off against each other in a "log roll" competition, with Ace, Sugar and Marcus ending up the final three – but Marcus kept his balance the longest -- winning immunity at that night's Tribal Council. As part of his prize, he was also able to grant immunity to one player on the other team. He chose Sugar, explaining privately to the camera that he hoped that giving her immunity would make Fang get rid of one of their stronger players that night -- Crystal, Matty or Ace.

Back at Fang, it began to look like Crystal would be taking the fall. At Tribal Council, as he voted for Crystal, Matty said, "Crystal -- I have been waiting for this day for so long and I am so happy it's here."

But when the votes were read, in a 3-2 shocker, it was the mysteriously accented Ace who was sent home! Since he most certainly didn't vote for himself, it appeared that his good friend Sugar had been the tie-breaking vote that had done him in!

But the shockers weren't over for the night. Kota tribe still had to take their turn at Tribal. At Kota camp, teammates were torn between voting off Dan, whom they deemed the least trustworthy, or Susie, the seemingly weakest physical competitor. It seemed like a consensus had been made that Dan would be going home, when Susie had a private chat with Corinne. When Corinne told Susie that she wasn't planning on voting for her, Susie expressed her relief, but then told Corinne, "I'm going to be honest with you, I was actually going to vote for you [to go home]."

This did not sit well with Corinne, who later said in response, "This moron has decided that she'd like me to go. I hate her, I hate her, I hate her. I really want to stab her in the face."

But, although Corinne made an argument to her teammates to send Sugar home, in the end, it was Dan who was sent packing. Good Luck Guys!

Taylor Swift Is An American Voter!

The pretty lady and Country star Taylor Swift just rocked the vote, for the very first time! The 18-year-old singing sensation told People magazine that casting her ballot on Thursday made her feel "so completely American."

Taylor admitted she got stuck in the long lines when she voted at home in Sumner County, Tenn. But, the leggy star admitted to the mag she felt great after: "I can honestly tell you that it was worth the wait. I felt like I really accomplished something special."

So, which candidate did Taylor vote for? Joe Jonas' reported ex-flame said she "can't share" whether she Ba-rocked the vote or went with an Ameri-Cain hero, but said she made every effort to be as well informed as she possibly could about both candidates. "I watched the debates and I read all kinds of articles on each person and each vice president and what they believe in and where their priorities are," Taylor said.

When it came time to vote, "I went with my gut instinct," she said. "I wavered back and forth the entire time I was waiting in line and when I got into the voting booth, I said, 'That's the one I'm voting for,' and I pressed the button. And I feel good about it!"

Cast your ballot for president between now and Nov. 4 at your local polling location. Good luck to you, my dear.
