Melinda Doolittle'American Idol' Alum Releasing Her New Album

The gospel singer and my personal favorite who gave it her all against the likes of Jordin Sparks and Blake Lewis on "Idol," is about to unveil her debut solo album. Ann Powers of The Los Angeles Times says Melinda's new disc, Coming Back to You, features a "vintage soul" sound reminiscent of Gladys Knight and early Aretha Franklin. I followed her in season 6 she was amazing. I really love her because she is down to earth and she has a charming face.
